Hi..... My name is Lisa....

I'd like to welcome you to my website, The Mittathumoottil Family.

Some of you might know me, some may not, and so let me introduce myself. Yes I'm also a part of this family. Lets see how........

Well I happen to come in the second half of this family, when Mr. Thomas Abraham, after the death of his first wife, re-married a jewel, as said by their youngest son Mr. M.A. Titus. Well Mr. Thomas Abraham and the jewel, namely Mrs Rahel Abraham gave birth to a son named Mr. M.A. Thomas who married  Mrs. Saramma Thomas and gave birth to Mr. Jacob Thomas. He married Mrs. Shobana Jacob and brought a sweet lil girl into this world....... hehe....that's me !!! Yeah that's just about it...that's where I fall in line.....

Ok I was planning on giving a formal introduction to my site... I should say my VERY FIRST site...as you might have noticed......... but I can see that it's not coming out quite formally......... so I shall continue with the Informality!!!!

Why I made this website??? Well I was truly fascinated when my grandfather once told me that he had 4 sisters and 3 brothers....... what fascinated me even more was that I hardly knew maybe 18 out of the 45 second cousins that I have. And to think that ours was a small family...... would be an understatement !!!!

So one summer vacation when I went home to Kerala, I slowly started writing down the names of my grandpa's brothers and sisters. Then I got the names of their spouses with a lot of help from my granny. Well she and my dad knew the names of a few of the children and then FULLSTOP!!!! It was amazing to know that dad had met some of his first cousins probably years ago and has never heard from them henceforth. That's what got me to really sit down and work out this family tree... so that we could at least know, if not see, who really constituted The Mittathumootil Family.

I think a family is called a family only if it is ONE..... and how do I define a family??? Oh that's a word that has a lot of strength just within in.......Family is UNITY......Family is ONENESS........ One in which all the members KNOW each other, are THERE for each other, will go out of their way to HELP each other, LOVE each other, CONFIDE in each other and yes a lot more...most importantly... will stay in CONTACT with each other.

It's sad that dad doesn't even know where many of his first cousins are.... yeah could probably blame it on the fact that there were a LOT of em... but at the end of the line, we still are FAMILY!!! My only intent was to bring this family together.

I have got most of the names of the family members except for one part of the family, ie. about the children and grand children of Mrs. Rachel Mathai. I have tried a lot to get information but in vain Those of you who have any information about this side of the family, please do write in and let me know.

I'm doing this for the first time... even to make a website... so if there are any mistakes, please do forgive me and do write in and help me correct them. There is still a lot of information that is missing, that is the email addresses, telephone numbers, mailing addresses. I would also like to put up photos of everyone on this website also. So please do write in and send your information and photos to me so that I can make this a total success. I have not been able to reach out to many of the people on this list also so if you do know them, please do make it a point to let them know about the tree. And oh yes.... do keep me informed as the tree branches out !!!! Hehehe....

Let me stop without boring you anymore.........though I would like to thank a few people who helped me make this. Firstly I would like to thank my granny who passed away last August without whose help I would not have been able to start this. Ammachi, I know you wanted to see this done before you went. I'm really sorry for not completing it then.... but I'm positive that you can see what I am doing from up there and have got a big smile on your face....

I'd like to thank My grandfather's brother Mr. M.A. Titus (Great Grrrrand Uncle....!!!!!) for all the love and support he gave me on this........Yes Great Grrrrand Uncle...I thank God for allowing me to finish what you had once started in school !!! hehehe......

I'd like to thank Kochupapa (Dad's brother Dr. Titus), Babu Uncle (Mr. John Eapen) Annie aunty (Mrs. Annama Mathews), Uncle Joy (Mr. V.T. Thomas) and all the others for all the love and help they gave me to complete this.

Before stopping, I would like to add that my only prayer is that all you guys do make use of the information that I have dug out and do keep in touch with each other.
